DRS Open Day,
Crewe
(4' 8½", 2008)
A
couple of the BMRG
members were lucky enough to attend the DRS Open Day at Crewe
during 2008.
Whilst
the primary reason for
being there was to assist on the RailExpress stand, the
opportunity was taken to capture the occasion in pictures.
So first off, we have 57008 in the shed.
Meanwhile
outside we have 57010, along with Brush Type 4 no.
47712 and
47802. As you can see it was a somewhat wet and gloomy day.
The previous image of 47802
shows first
few drops of rain causing mist on the lens, by the next image (47829, still in police
colours, awaiting
attention) the
rain is now all over the lens!

47482, in Stobart livery, was named Solway Princess during the day,
though this loco was to shortly loose the Stobart livery.

Back inside the shed (in the dry) we have: 66420; Class 37s nos 37610 &
37688 and; a pair
of class 20/3s - 20310 & 20313.

And finally,
back outside (no rain this time) no 47501 which was named Craftsman
during the afternoon.
